(Solved) Front of TT higher or lower

Hello everyone, I would appreciate some input on the following situation. We are taking our new TT out for the first time on Friday. Everything is loaded and organized, it is hitched up to the truck and ready to go but the front of the TT is about an inch and a half higher than the back. I plan to drop the hitch down tonight and make the TT more level but the front of the TT may end up a little lower than the back when I do that. I think it would be better than the way it is now do you agree. I towed it about 20 miles yesterday from storage and it towed fine.

Everything I have read says if you can't get the TT level, a little high in the front is the best set up...

I set mine so when the truck bed is empty, the TT rides a little high. So when I load the truck the TT is close to level...

I agree high front is better than low.
Level would be optimum.

P.S. don't forget about the photo contest !

I would leave it. If you are outside looking, then the truck isn't loaded, because you aren't in it. Probably don't have spouse, maybe dog, and a few other things in the truck. Also how much gas is in the truck? Time you add a couple of people, wife's pocketbook, etc., it will be close enough. Will never get perfect.

I've been told a little high is better than a little low. I thought mine was too high and bought a new receiver hitch with less rise. One of the issues I ran into was on uneven ground where the hitch was already sitting high, I had difficulty removing ball from coupler due to binding.

Got nothing to add for high vs low but it sure looks good! Enjoy the new TT!

Thanks for the replies, great info I didn't think about the truck not being loaded and the gas tank is about a 1/4 full, I planned to fill up on the way out. I'm going to leave it like it is and if someone gives me a hard time about the front being a little high I will show them this thread, there's no way they can argue with Forest River owners, Right? :-)
