GENERAL GRABBER HTS

They were the cheapest but the "salesman" said they wouldn't ride as smooth as the Michelins.

I have 2500 Ram i have problems with michelin , goodyear and one other the brand i can not remember I now have Firestone Trans Force and they are by far the best pickup tire i have had my Ram is 2003 with 108000 miles and the Firestone have been on about 45000 miles and hardly look worn at all. I had some on a company truck before i retired that had 50000 on them when i left company I will be getting them when i need a new set. Best pickup tire ever had and over the years i have tried almost every major and off brand their is.

They have 61K on them now and were made in 2004.
I use it about 4 times a year to take trips with the TT(2012 Flagstaff 30 WRLTS Vlite weighing 8,400 loaded).
It's obvious, I don't drive it much with only 61k in 10 years!
With the age of the tires, I feel like I'm pushing my luck while towing.
Michelin(Load Range E) is what I need replaced.
Went shopping today to 5 reputable tire dealers in town and this is the best (out the door)prices I came up with:

Firestone TransForce HT OWL LT $1,037
Goodyear Wrangler $1,233
Dunlap Rover $1,122
General OWL Grabber $934
Michelin LTX $1,220

All came with a Road Hazard warranty.

The last 2(Generals and Michelins) came with a frontend alignment already figured in with the price.

So basically, $300 separates the prices, which one will lead the pack in durability and comfort of ride?

What say you?
Good Year all the way, truck, trailer, etc.

Michelins i has side wall cracked at 2 years then the Goodyear did the same thing at almost 2 years so far Firestone no problems at all my dealer said he has got the best reports from Firestone that is why i went to them and he sells more firestone with less return problems. But all that said what ever you feel is best service is what you should use and has been Firestone Trans Force for me.

It's been a long time since I had anything but Michelins. I do keep an open mind to jus about everything. Plan on hitting the road with these Firestones so we will see how they roll. Never know...they could be the new favorite.

Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2. I've had these on 2 trucks and love them in dry, wet and snow. The LT tires are load range E rated.

Just to follow up

Bought the Michelins and just got back from a trip. No complaints. Unfortunately, had a belt break on a Trail Express tire on the trailer and got hit with a China bomb! So I will now search for trailer tires tomorrow!
