Thanks

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. If your FKS is like mine your axles are very close together you gain 1/2 in width and 1/2 in height with the 215 which means you are putting the tires closer together. Both come in C and D ratings. Why not keep the spacing and upgrade the 205s to D rating. If you are only traveling on paved roads and improved campgrounds then spacing may not be an issue.

I stayed with the same size 205-75-R14 in an GY Endurance D rated. Mine has barely 2 fingers between them and would certainly not ever want to experience an instance where that distance suddenly decreased for any reason. JMO

tires

I had the same concern. We have a Flagstaff Emerald 27VRL, I upgraded from 205s-C to 14" 215/75-D. In the GY Endurance chart, the diameter is the same as 205s. I had 2 3/4" prior and is now is the same, maybe 1/16" less.. Mine is a 2016, next model year they went to 15" tires. What ever you switch to, be very careful where they put the jack! They put a jack under the rear support bar, behind the rear axle and bent it. That bar is Thin metal, had to cut out and weld heaver square tube under trailer. I was using an Anderson drive on tire changer to allow the tire shop, Sams Wholesale, To change a tire at a time. Turned my back on them, 1 minute-GEE. After I bought tires and paid on line they told me they do not install on trailers, AUGH!

I briefly considered this for my 233s. Space between the tires convinced me not to. Got rid of the Constancys and mounted new Goodyear Endurance 205s with metal stems and a TST TPMS 507 system.

I have the same trailer and installed the same tires. Went from 205 to 215 with no issue. Like said, lost maybe like 1/8" between the tires. The different in towing was night and day over the spongy china bombs it came with.
