Tire recalls ???

I have been reading so many posts about China tires blowing out. Why not recall on these tires? It appears to be a safety issue. I guess someone has to be killed before this happens.

Go to the NHTSA's website for tire recalls. Most folks that are riding around on some of these tires just don't know they have a recall. I think it's Safecar.gov but may be wrong. Traveling right now and can't look it up. Maybe someone else will chime in.

Recalls require proof. In their research NHTSA knows a high percentage of RV tire failures are caused by misuse and abuse. Saying that you had a tire failure going 62 MPH with properly inflated tires does nothing to show the cause. Road hazards and overloading come to mind.

One would think that when one or two brands have exponentially more failures than others, they would take notice. Also, when people like me filing complaints, send pictures of tread separations on 4 tires and copies of their CAT scale yellow sheets before their trips, photos of the intel on the tire's sidewall, and the numbers on their TPMS, they should take notice and investigate.
It shouldn't be left up to the consumer to have to prove there is a safety problem. After all, it's what they [NHTSA] do for a living. I realize they are a government agency, but I still expect them to do their job.

Remember that this is the same agency that allowed dozens of GM owners to die over many, many years before forcing a recall.
