I have a Flagstaff Classic super lite on order and would like to know if any recent purchasers can tell me if the tire valves on these or the Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite are rubber or metal. I am in the process of purchasing a tpms system and understand the flow thru transmitter is a bit too heavy for the rubber valves.
Thanks

Our Classic is a 2011. It came with rubber valve stems and I would be surprised if that has changed. I replaced the tires with load range E Maxxis and at same time installed TST 507 system and changed to metal stems. No problems and less worries. I hope you enjoy your "Falstaff" as much as we have enjoyed ours.

Regardless if you flow through or non-flow through, if you put any kind of TPMS sensor on the valve stems, it is probably best to get metal valve stems installed. A tire shop can do that fairly simply.

Load range C tires come with rubber stems. If you go to load range D you should get metal "high pressure" stems and if you got to load range E you must get them.
