Toliet

I have fr flagstaff 831rkss 2012 bumper pull . The toliet has a clam shell at the back where the water comes out.
Has a foot lever on the right side
There is a half round piece of plastic that rotates to let the water in the tank
Here is the problem . When you step on the flush lever the plastic cover does not move . You can rotate the the plastic " flapper" 360 around
Seems like it is not connected to the flush lever . Never removed one to look inside. I have quad muscle trouble . SO THE Wife WILL have To LOOK
Any help will be helpful
Thanks

Go online to Dometic or Thetford site. There will be a parts list and drawings of your toilet. Best to know how its built before to attempt to disassemble. Probably consist of a plastic lever or cable that has come adrift, very easy repair once your understand the workings.

If it's a Dometic 310/312 model sounds as though the nubs that allow the foot flusher to open and close the ball valve have broken off. If this is the case the toilet will have to be removed to repair and/or replace. cannot repair while installed (and Dometic says not repairable). Fortunately, the toilets of this kind are easily removed and are not all that expensive. Of course this info is predicated on the toilet being of the kind mentioned. You might call Dometic and tell them of your issue and they might ship you another one free because this is not an uncommon issue. Good luck.
