Trading up

After 30 years with pop-up tent trailers and 8 years with hybrids we are going to buy something with a proper bedroom! Seriously looking at a 2014 Super Lite 26FKWS - any opinions out there?

We did that move 3 years ago and don't regret it one bit.
I don't know about your particular model, but for us...we had to have a bed we can walk around.
Sure don't miss the hybrid in early spring and late fall.
Good luck in your search !

Nice unit and kitchen and bathroom accessible when the slides are closed.

(My comments are purely from looking at the floorplan online.)

I agree with fonzie- that's a great layout for having the slide for space, but still being 100% usable while closed up.

However, per the specs there is only 962 pounds of cargo carrying capacity. Some of that is going to be eaten up by options when the camper is ordered, some is going to be eaten up by battery and propane and much would be eaten up if you carry any water. Given my wife and my's propensity to pack everything and extras, I'm afraid that would be a deal killer for us.

I'd have to sit in it and see how the entertainment center not being in line with the sofa and being so close to it would fair. That and I'd check opening/closing the bathroom door while watching TV.

I also can't say that I've ever been a fan of having a door directly to the bedroom. I just don't see the need.

Thanks for that in depth reply Ependydad. I hadn't really thought about the cargo capacity, obviously this needs some more research.

I don't know what normal people pack, but we easily are 1,500 pounds+ in our camper (which is also a 42' fifth wheel that we spend a lot of time in).
