TV

We're looking to get a larger tv for our camper. Do we have to get a special kind or can we get any tv? Not sure if there a special ones for campers. Thanks

Only if you want it to run off battery 12v. Then you would need to buy a 12v TV. You can buy regular tv but you will only be able to use on generator power or when plugged in.

If your current TV is hooked to your audio system, then note how many and what type of connections you have on the back of your current TV and what cable is hooked to those ports. Make sure the TV you get has the same or similar connections, or you may find that you cannot re-connect the cables you currently have. Not all TV's have the same type or number of ports on the back.

Thanks. We only use it when we're plugged in at the camp site, so we should be fine.

Take measurements, go to walmart or best buy and pick what looks best to you. Im partial to Samsung, but put a Visio in the bedroom last year when my nearlymnew Toshiba started doing funny things.

When I first saw the name FURRION on my TT’s TV I thought – now that’s a brand I never heard of. However, after a little research, I learned that standard TVs are not made for a lot of jarring and shaking and that there are specialty TVs that are made specifically to be able to withstand quite a bit of movement. I take it that’s why FR uses FURRION TVs in their TTs. I’m sure there are other brands as well that are made for mobile applications.

We have a Samsung in our TT and it has held up well for these past couple of years. I also built in a Samsung Blu-ray player about a year ago and so far no problems with it either.

Fur ion and Lippert are in cahoots together and have a major market share in the industry. I do not think they are better. Just a major sole supplier for FR. Just my opinion.
