Tv on 831ress

Just bought a new 2013 831RESS..it was supposed to come with a 32 inch tv but I was told the tv had been stolen...didn't like the answer but being what I thought was a pretty good deal I let it go..is 32" the largest you can mount?..haven't picked it up yet..just wondering

Tv on 831ress

Unless you were told up front and they discounted the unit a stolen TV should be the dealer's problem, not yours.

Edit: dang send button's too easy to brush on the iPad. Continuing on,

I'd be asking them to replace the TV. I'd also be worried about any possible damage if the unit was broken into.

To answer your question, in general, probably, but that's going to depend on what TV bracket they have installed, and what TV you get. It's a matter of how much weight it can hold, not size (as long as it fits). I've seen older 19" flat screens that weigh more than some 40" screens today.

That would be like buying a new car and the dealer said, Sorry but someone stole the tires last night.

Sounds like the dealer put your tv in another unit.

I agree with all your replies..the thing that was disappointing,is that they waited till the deal was closed before they told us...the camper was on the showroom floor...did not notice any damage..was told it was stolen while they had it sitting out side the store one night...actually they said all of their TV's were stolen..however they did manage to leave the remote in the camper..lol...I know I can buy one for about $179...it's just the principle...did read the threads and looks like I might be able to install a 37"...if I can do that,it would be a happy ending to somewhat of a bizarre story😄

The dealer would either be replacing the TV or rebating me 300 or whatever the MSRP of the TV was, period.

I can't believe you're letting the dealer off like that.

Is the unit yours? Like you have plates on it?
If so, let them know you'll file a police report. See how that conversation goes..

If it was me would I would that.

If not yours, I would walk away from the deal.

Give us the name of the dealer so we can all avoid this place in the future. I can't even imagine doing business like that.

If you get a great deal, a tv isn't worth walking away. As long as they disclose all the issues concerning how they got in. Like broken door or window. Then get the best deal and go to Bestbuy and grab a tv. Most folks upgrade them anyways. Good luck.

Sorry accidentally hit the send button
I didn't even think about the TV until we closed the deal and was on our walk through and the sales person found the remote in one of the drawers...I can tell you the dealer is in Ohio..suppose to go pick it up tomorrow..maybe he'll have a change of heart

If the TV was stolen while on the dealers lot I would look very closely for any signs of damage or repairs to windows and doors during the PDI. I'm sure the thieves didn't just walk into an unlocked trailer and steal the TV.

Supposedly they had all the TV's setting outside one night and they all were stolen..the owner is a good Christian man and I really didn't notice any TV's in the models we looked at..I looked the camper over thoroughly and did see any damage

Then is has insurance. And shouldn't even been an issue. He should replace the TV.
