Two Gray water Only One Capacity Spec

Our 2008 831FKSS has two grey water tanks. Specs only give total spec of 60 gal. for grey water. Does anyone know if they are 30 gal. each or is the galley tank larger/smaller than the "grey water"?

Most likely they are the same size. Mine are. The galley tank serves the kitchen sink and the grey tank serves the bathroom sink and shower on my trailer.

I had the same floorplan in a Rockwood(8315SS). It is two separate tanks, both are 30 Gals each.

Are the two tanks connected or can they be connected?

The reason there are two gray tanks on some models is that the layout of the trailer prevents, or at least makes it very difficult, to plumb both the kitchen area and bath area into one tank. On mine, the kitchen is in the rear and the bath in the middle. It would be not be feasible to have only one tank due to the layout. Hence, you would not be able to connect the two gray tanks.

You can get a V connector to connect two hoses to a single connection at the campground sewer connection.

We have found the galley tank fills up quicker than the others.

Another way to handle the "two tanks into one sewer" issue is to attach an adapter to the galley, run a green garden hose over to the fitting on a sewer elbow like this one.

Since I already carry an elbow and a green garden hose, all that adds to weight and space constraints is the galley-to-hose adapter, which is nothing.

No, they are not connected.
Yes, they can, but you'll need time and patience.
