VIN number

First time rv owner. Camped twice so far & LOVE it. First time forum guy. I just bought a Forest River trailer & I am looking to check on all the options. I have a vin number is there somewhere I can get a list of options?

What are you getting?

Just to clarify, have you bought yet or are you in the process of buying and want to know what "options" you can order with a new trailer? If so, then the website or your dealer will show those options.

If not buying new then I'm not clear on what options you mean.

I think he has it and wants to run the VIN to see what options he has. Maybe?

Got it.

Can you tell us what year, make and model trailer you have? I think that would be the place to start in order to find someone who has the same trailer.

You could try contacting Forest River directly and see if they could provide the info you need by the camper's VIN.

Used to be able to reach Flagstaff at 574-389-4600 or 574.642.2640 according to the brochures.

The links below have various phone numbers and email addresses. I'm not sure if they have changed since these were updated, but you can try these ...

Forest River Contact Information
Forest River Company Contact Numbers
Forest River contact info

By the way, here's the 2009 Flagstaff brochure for the Classic Super lite

Did you do a walk through before buying to see what and where everything was and how they worked. I kept everything when we ordered out unit so when I sell it, they will also receive it. I do have it for sale with many extras to go with it. I will make sure the new owner works everything 5-6 times or until they feel comfortable before pulling out.

Thanks a lot for the help. First time on a forum & it was painless. I bought the trailer from a friend in need. The need did not include a lot of info. He had a lot of papers about stuff I can not find so I am learning as I go. Love the rv it is a great start to a lot of future travels.

congrats.
Where ya going to be camping at?
Did you get a weigh distribution Hitch with the sale or you going to be buying one?

Take your time and read some of the posts around here and you will have a Pleathra of Information.

Since you are new at camping I'll give you a few tips - do not turn on the hot water heater on electric until you have water in the heater or you will burn out the Element.

2nd thing is when you get a chance - go on the roof and check out the seams and look for any places the caulk may be seperating and recaulk with some Dicor Self Leveling Lap Sealant - you want to prevent any leaks before they happen.

Thanks we have camped twice. Once in Wimberley Tx & once @ a friends place in Magnolia Tx. I do have a weight sister. hitch came with it. I am a reader so I have a couple of books about maintenance on a rv. It is very generic but helpfully in the little things. I have been putting around the forum looking a several threads that catch my eye. Everyone seems to be extremely helpfully & genuine which is good.
