My In-laws .. "A Bit Thrifty" stay in Walmarts all over the USA .. and use their built in diesel generator 24-7 and also stay for days at a time .. with never a complaint ..

However .. some states, towns do not allow overnight parking in ANY parking lot

I think the ban on overnight parking is becoming more prevalent. I have seen many more shopping areas where they post no overnight parking signs.

Pulled in to the local Walmart last night and there were 15 RV's parked for the night. 8 of them were large MH units with the all the stabilizers deployed genny's running etc.

I've heard that many campground owner's associations in many states have lobbied the governments to pass ordinances against overnight parking due to the impact Wal-Mart has had on their business.

They are one and the same.....at least water-wise. The city water hookup is for pressurized municiipal drinking water supply hooked up to the camper via a common water hose, that has an all-the-time on pressure. The Fresh tank is a built-in holding tank that usually holds 40 gallons of drinking water that you manually stick a hose in the hole and fill up the tank- when full, it will run out. You cap it off, then use the stored supply as needed from a pump that is built into your unit, that pressurizes the outgoing flow, until you turn off the water, or empty the 40 gallons! Randy

Ya, new walmart in west end of Saskatoon was INTERESTING! we just managed to get in, could not turn down the lanes, got to the end and got turned to go down the lot then had to zig zag some curbs etc then there was hardly any place to go. then there was a semi with 2 trailers in there! i dunno how he got it in there!

ATTENTION Walmart campers, the store will soon be closing.

We just recently stayed at a Walmart in Charlottetown, PEI. We left the afternoon before we were to check i our campground, stayed overnight and picked up our groceries and stuff the next morning. The next morning I counted about 16 different vehicles from people just sleeping in the SUV's to large coaches spread out around the lot. The first time we did this was a few weeks before and again there were quite a few campers. Here at home in Halifax, people do it but I know there has been a lot of media in the past from campgrounds trying to get it banned. I am not sure if they did but but people still do it anyway.
