Thanks for all your replies. Hubby installed the filter tonight. The tech did show us in the walk thru what is to be done with the winterizing but did not have us physically place the filter possibly as still cold when we picked up?

Prior to your first use every year you should put a little bleach or other water purifying chemical in your water tank. Lots of things grow in water. I only drink bottle water, but shower, brush my teeth, wash my hands and other things with my on-board water. You can go to YouTube and watch lots and lots of educational stuff...
