We have a FW and we don't so your #3,4,5,6,7 or 9.

But we do - Place pads under front landing gear - extend front and rear stabilizers - disconnect TV from FW (unless we are leaving the next morning and do not have to go someplace) -note mileage traveled that day in my travel log - raise Television antenna -

and last (and first and in between all of this) Curse and moan after hitting my head while getting into the basement.

all depends on where we are camping and how long we are staying.....if its an rv park for a weekend, not much as they usually have tables and grills already waiting for us....just level, hook up, and pull out a couple of chairs with an awning....good to go....

on longer stays in the mountains we have chairs, screen house, table for outside kitchen, rugs, coolers, fire wood, bikes, generators, dish network, outside and inside tv setups (4 total), solar lights, hookups (if available but usually at least 30amp and water), outside water filter, outside kitchen grill, and maybe the golf cart....usually only go to that extent for 5+ days and when the kids and my mom are with us....

so it can be very little, or a WHOLE LOT...lol

I'm going camping in my new TT this weekend. I picked it up Saturday so it's sitting in my driveway. Not sure what all I need for first time.

Unhook after leveling, chock, stabilize, hook up electric, water, sewer, get out rocking chairs & rc boards, small table, deploy awning and stake down, install bbq grill on side of trailer, set up satellite dish. All of the above may take from 30 minutes to 2 days, depending on the mode and whether it is an overnite stop or a 1,2 or 3 wk stop. Also have to take several coffee breaks, usually between each chore.

1. Set out a patio mat (keeps dirt out)
2. Awning lights (thanks to the forum here)
3. Various chairs
4. Little red campfire and propane (thanks to Herk/Lou)

Depending on mood and who I'm camping with

5. Flamingofans (LSU colors of course)
6. Geocaching sign one of my friends made for our camping group

With this being your first trip I would keep it simple where possible. The more stuff you pack the more stuff you have to take care when breaking camp. I do recommend taking some of those chairs in a bag. Not everyone likes sitting at a picnic table for long periods of time.

I agree-keep it simple. Since it's in your driveway why not spend tonight and Thursday in it an pretend you're at a campground and see what you need to run into the house for-that's probably a good start on what you need to keep in the camper.

Oh-not that we've had any rain this year but we always keep rain suits in the camper. They have been invaluable at times.

We kept rain suits in the camper - bad idea as they are needed from TV to startup RV. Now we have Dry Ducks rain suits in a small 5x8x3 self storage bag in the TV. Found out last year backing in and setting up Front Royal VA. Since then only one setup in the rain but much better with rain suits at hand.

unhook and level camper
hook up power so DW can get slide out, the inside setup and the A/C or Heat going
connect water/sewer
put out the awing, rope lights, flag and flag lights
setup the solar light in a perimeter around the "yard" (depending on the size of the site and length of stay)
put the two dog stakes in the ground
pull out the bag chairs and RV-Q
put out the welcome mats in front of the entry stairs
pull out the fold able table for the radio
setup the screen room around the picnic table (again depending on the length of stay)
open up and drink a cold one as needed

First things first......... the dogs get put into their fenced area with water, then we can proceed. 150 pounds ( between the 2 ) of antsy waiting to get out.

Unhook, level, and plug in to AC
setup pup / unfold awning & attach lights,
bring out the folding table for all the essentials to sit on,
cover the picnic table with a table cloth, ( gotta look homey )
2 burner cook stove comes out, connect, ( immediately make COFFEE! LOL ).
small tabletop grill comes out,
chairs w/ side tables come out ( we carry the "chairs in a bag" too, sometimes just want to melt in the chair and take a good long nap )
and a 5 gal. water jug.

Then it's inside we go to unpack. Usually we pack 2-3 days worth of food, as we generally do the weekend outings ( not retired yet ). And you always need to bring a little extra just in case of visitors or dinner for the CG Caretaker. He is a friend of ours, so if he is working we always manage to make him a plate.

Lastly............ enjoy the great outdoors!
