Cool What is this bracket used for?

Edit by site team: This post has been moved to it's own thread as it is a different question/topic than the thread it was originally in.

Can anyone tell me what this bracket is for? I have 3 slide outs and there is a bracket mounted on the exterior wall for each slide. It corresponds with where the slide roller closes up next to the wall, but does not touch the bracket. It is about an inch or so away when slide is fully closed. Click image for larger version

It keeps the slide topper from billowing (unrolling) when the slide is retracted going down the road. If you look at the topper roller when the slide is retracted, you'll see a little arm sticking out (attached to the roller) that would hit that bracket if the topper started to unroll.

Sorry folks, it is an anti billowing bracket for slide awnings. Should be two of them for each slide. You can also see the gutter extension to the side of the one shown.

Only one is provided and needed since it is a one piece tube.

Smile Mystery Bracket...

Just wanted to say "thanks" to all who answered my query as to what the purpose was of the brackets on my FR. I never would've thought of that. But this is proof that we are never too old to learn. I appreciate all the replies and enjoy reading the forum. Now, my wife and I are back to..."Living' the Dream."
