The Weber Q line is awesome! I am just about to give my 7+ year old Q100 a tune up! It just needs to be cleaned up and get a new ignitor. It still works like brand new! They are a little pricey, but it will be the last portable grill you will buy for 10+ Years. I use mine for camping, for tailgating (ALOT) and sometimes even in place of my grill at home. Its efficient with propane too. A few weeks back, a local ace was selling a new Q1200 for $140....I almost bought it. It would have been nice to have something shiny and new....but I didn't go back to buy it. There's NOTHING wrong with my current grill (except the ignitor, which is ALOT cheaper than $140). Best grill I've every had. It's only drawback, which is also probably why it is so durable is that it is a little heavy.

+1 on Weber Q series. We have the 1200. Just the two of us so the 2200 wasn't necessary.

I use a Coleman Road Trip LX. Advantages: 2 burners, integrated water tray keeps all food moist and juicy and can cook for a crowd. Interchangeable grill/griddle. Disadvantages: heavy, shallow cover (can't stick a roast in there), integrated water tray is a PITA to remove when it had greasy water in it. I tap into a 20 lb tank.
I have the sidekick, but don't like cooking that close to my RV. I like to spread out: camper, firepit area, e-z up with eating and cooking area.
Thread is for propane: most of my cooking is wood or charcoal and its Weber all the way.

I don't think you can go wrong with either the Weber Q or Coleman Road Trip. Choose the one that has the features you want.

Next decision with the Q 1200 is whether I go the canister route or buy the Propane hose and connect to the Propane on my 8528 IKWS.

I gave our two-year-old Coleman Roadtrip (along with two griddle tops and the ring top) to some Burmese immigrants and bought the Weber Q 2200.
Best grill I have ever owned. Get the smoker box to go along with it.

Weber Q2200. Little pricey, but can't beat it for quality and durability.

I'm sorry but I just don't get it! What makes a Webber worth that kind of money? The little ones sell for just under $300 Cdn ..... For a little one!!

you get what you pay for. I have had a Weber Q for 3 years, and the Weber in my back yard is over 15 years old.

I've had mine 7 or 8 years, use it upwards of 50 times a year and I haven't done a thing to it besides clean it up once and a while and the thing cooks like it's brand new out of the box. I love my Q100 and wouldn't trade it for a any other portable grill no matter what the price. It costed under $200....and I don't have to buy a new grill every 2 or 3 years.

Longevity and the ability to purchase repair parts if necessary. My FIL has a Charbroil grill that he bought 6 years ago on sale at Lowe's, burners crapped out, parts are NLA so he bought some "universal" burners and about blew himself and the carport up. FWIW Charbroil is now made in China along with most of the other major brands.
We have a 15 year old Weber Genesis, cost 3 times what his did and that was 15 years ago, probably 4 times that now. Just ordered a new burner and grate for it, first repair parts I have had to order. Mine gets used 3-4 times a week. I also have a Weber 18" charcoal that is even older than the Genesis, just ordered new grates for it. Won't use anything but Weber as long as they keep making them in the USA.

Haven't seen it mentioned but I went with a Napoleon Travel Q, there is a cart and travel bag available for it as well. It works great for a portable grill, I can use the small propane cylinders or the extension hose from the rv's tank.
It's made in Canada and has great reviews.

Prefer the RVQ that came with the trailer, does a good job and is easy to store in the basement. Been using this one for 4 yrs and the 08 one for 4 yrs also. Never had a problem with either one.
