Another vote for the Q100. Ours is on its tenth year and still works like new... including the igniter! We pair it with a 1982 Coleman two-burner stove and run the pair of them off a propane tree to a 20lb bottle.

Propane usage is a direct correlation to burner BTU input. If you have a 12,000 btu burner it is going to use more propane than an 8500 btu burner. I use 20# LP cylinders in a milk crate with an LP distribution pole, i just make sure the tank if full or close to it before we leave for a weekend. I only have a grill stove and the lantern hooked up in this picture, quite often I will have the Camp Chef oven and another stove hooked up. Also still have white gas stoves including a monster 3 burner.

The Sidekick (RVQ) that came with the 5er works great for the 2 of us.

Coleman roadtrip now plumbed to the quick connect so no more extra propane tank.

That the grill box I am on the fence for.
Any real issues with lack of drip tray?

Nope. The heat deflector in the bottom stops most flare ups. I would just use a little caution and never run the grill box with the burners on High. The cooking grates are cast iron and will glow red if left unattended. You can also cook the finish off the grill box by overheating....
