RECONUSMC, the products you are posting about are for a wireless connection between the source (i.e. the receiver) and the TV. In the OP's case, they want to know "where can you place a satellite receiver for line of sight operation". They have a line of sight IR remote with their SAT receiver. Unless the receiver part of that JTECH wireless system can put the IR signal into the SAT receiver, it won't accomplish what they're looking for.

I think the line of sight receivers have an "eye" for receiving the IR signal from the remote control so whatever you use it would have to be able to put the IR signal from the remote into that "eye". Which is way I posted this as an option.

Or does it work differently?

Dish receiver in Rockwood 2902WS

Here’s where I mounted my Dish receiver in my very shallow cabinet above the TV. I used a couple of Velcro straps w short screws and washers. And although it’s pointing down, it works perfectly when door is open and hides everything when closed

I have a Rockwood 2902WS that does not have a shelf for a satellite receiver. My Dish receiver is the VIP 211 that uses an IR remote. My receiver is mounted on the wall behind the Furion Tv using a Hideit mount.

I even have a TV mounted on the wall in the bedroom that uses the Dish receiver. The IR remote even works if aimed through the open bedroom door.

Moderator Note:

This was the OP's 1st and only post and it's been 17 days since it was posted.
I think everything has been suggested and until the OP comes back, there's not much we can help with anymore.

Satellite Receiver question

I want to thank the forum community for the numerous responses to my query. I learned that getting a Wally receiver solves half of my problem. A Wally receiver allows me to place it in hidden locations since line of sight operation is not a concern.
I am a bit peeved that Forest River has produced Mini and Micro Lite models that don't provide an aesthetic location for the receiver. My antiquated 2014 Keystone travel trailer has a nice shelf underneath the television where it looks great.
My question now is if Forest River didn't have enough insight into placement of a satellite receiver in their trailers, what else have they forgotten about in the design of their products? No answer necessary. Thanks.
