Why did Flagstaff discontinue 831QBSS production?

Does anyone know why Flagstaff discontinued production of 831QBSS for 2012? Should I be sorry I just bought one?

IMHO typically a manufacturer redoes the product lineup for one of two reasons. Slow sellers being number one, and number two being to offer fresh designs to promote sales. Same for auto manufacturers. They simply will not build a model that they cannot sells lots of.

I have a 2010 model and thoroughly enjoy it. The model has been around for a few years. I've not had any issues other than the tongue jack that was covered under warranty.

I don't think you should worry if a model is "discontinued".

They probably weren't selling enough of that particular floor plan.

Everything in the trailer (ie: stove, fridge, brakes, axles, etc) at still common to other models.

These things are a conglomeration of aftermarket supplier parts. So, unlike a discontinued car model, parts pieces and service will be available for at least another 10-20 years.

did FR discontinue its twin Rockwood model also?
as far as i know, all recent Flagstaff models have a twin model in the Rockwood line.

Don't know if Rockwood's twin model has also been discontinued. Two sources told me the Flagstaff 831QBSS is being discontinued in 2012, including the Flagstaff regional manager for Canada and norther states, and a Flagstaff dealer near Knoxville TN. The Knoxville dealer said the 831QBSS had been a good seller for him, so he ordered 3 of those units before they were discontinued, and still had one on his lot when I visited there in November.

Our Surveyor 263 was already out of production when we bought it. That model suited our wants, and glad we got it. Not a problem with being out of production. I think no matter what model someone buys, it will be out of production within a few years, the "'latest, greatest" (at least according to the manufacturers) model to replace the discontinued ones.

I have a 2011 that I bought in 2010 and we love it nothing to be sorry for just go enjoy it and have fun!!!
