Winegard Antenna Not on Roof Anymore

Picked up my new 2019 E-Pro 19FBS a few days ago. Took it too a big dirt field in the middle of no where that has no trees. Never once touched the inside handle that allows you to rotate the antenna. I decided to check out the roof and noticed that no Antenna. Could it be that when I picked it up from dealer that the antenna was not in the correct position? We did get some wind gusts up around 30mph over the weekend.

The good thing is, when I did the initial channel scan on the TV, I was surprised how many channels it picked up and how clear they were.

We had 30 mph gusts in PA over weekend too, that antenna is made to drive highway speeds. Looks like a warranty replacement is in your future.

Wondering why this wasn't discovered during the PDI?

Is it possible it was not lowered after the PDI. The ant is not designed to handle hwy speeds if it is up. Did the tv work during PDI.

It was one before I took off Friday, because I had just taken some pics of my new rig before we left and it was on. So at some point between leaving on Friday and Sunday morning It fell off. From the picture I took, it seems to be pointed in the correct direction at departure.

I have asked my dealer, awaiting for their response. We typically don't use the TV, so not a big deal, but I also don't like have a new rig that something is broke.

During PDI, she just turned tv on to show it powered on, however she did not do the channel scan to search for channels. I did that on Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised to see it got as many channels as it did now that I now the antenna wasn't even on the roof.

Or possibly got clipped by a tree limb on the road.

Which probably won't be covered by the warranty.

If there is no damage to the base I might just think it was removed by the dealer because someone needed one on the QT thinking this trailer was not sold. "We'll replace it when the new one arrives." I wouldn't put it past any dealer to temporarily scavenge parts to complete repairs or get a unit out the door.

Did you actually see it in place when you picked up the trailer?

That does not look like a mount for a crank up antenna but one that does not but able to rotate . chances are it was not mounted well at the factory and blew off
