Winter PDI

DW and I are closing on a new 25KS this Saturday, but we are leaving it on the dealer lot for a few weeks while I arrange storage.

Not sure what's the norm regarding testing the water system. Freezing temps are not finished here. So what's common: dealer winterizes it? I do? That portion of the PDI delayed (it'll still be cold whenever I go get it from them)?

Anything else you vets can think of that would be helpful in this situation?

FWIW, dealer is three hours from home and two hours from where it will be kept/used.

Just picked up our new trailer. The dealer had dewinterized it when we got there. We conducted the PDI and they rewinterized the trailer before we left to bring it home. They can winterize a trailer pretty fast and very inexpensive (it's the cost of them doing business), there is no reason for them to not check everything out with you prior do delivery.

It takes but a few minutes a day is quite easy once you figure it out. Usually three gallons of pink stuff and run it through the entire system when the water heater is bypassed (drain water heater). Leave enough in the sinks and shower traps. Leave a tad in the back and gray tank and drain the fresh water tank. Poof your done.
