02' 2502 Antenna Question?

Do I have to turn a switch or anything on to receive channels? I took my first trip last weekend and could only get one channel to come in.

This sounds like a problem a camping friend of mine had recently, He bought a new 2006 Jayco and never used the antenna. The last time we went camping he could only get one channel, but I could get 6 and we were next to each other, well with some investigation we found the he had a bad amplifier on the antenna and it was bad from day one. He replaced it and now every thing is good. This might be something to check.

Look at your TV antenna plate.
That's the wall plate with a cable TV fitting in the middle.
It might also have a big hole for a 12v "cigarette lighter" type outlet.
It might not.
It probably also has a little tiny push button.
The button might be red or green.
It's the kind that you push in once and it stays in.
If you push it again, it pops back out.
Push it in.
It should light up.
If it doesn't light up, check your fuses for one that says
TV amp.
If it's not ON or not working, you will get very minimal reception.

Did you crank up the antenna?
Did you turn the antenna in different directions?
Finally, did you check with neighbors to see what they were getting???
We've been camping plenty of places with little or no reception.
When you get out in the boonies, it can be very spotty.

You should see a little light when it's ON.

The tiny push/push button is right beside the coax fitting and if you
are looking at it from the wrong side, it's nearly hidden.

Let us know what you find out.
Good luck!

Sometimes, the coax is hooked up wrong behind the plate. (had that one on my Keystone) Switched them around and all was well.
