2006 8298SS Ultra light owners - I have questions

newbie here, my wife and I just put a deposit on a 2006 8298SS signature ultra light. After a comprehensive inspection I noticed the couch is damp on the right corner skirt. After digging deeper it appears water is running in on the slide rail and the sofa skirt is wicking it up. Would this likely be a gasket or seal issue? Another question regarding the slide; is there a manual crank on this model in case of a slide motor failure? In general - can anyone comment on the integrity / quality of this model? The trailer appears to be in great shape but I would appreciate current or past owners thoughts. Thanks.

the leak could be from the gaskets, seals or the slide's rubber roof.
should be tested.

my '07 Rockwood Roo came with a metal crank rod to do the slideout in case of power failure. mine connects to the motor, under the sofa.

slide roof material

I realize of course that the trailer roof is rubber but didn't think the slide roof was the same material. I assumed the slide out roof was the same type of construction as the walls - the fiberglass laminate.

our slideout has a material over the roof of the slideout. it seems to similar to the rubber roof material.
