Your venting converts to information for the rest of us viewing this forum. It should also spur FR to actually better utilize the factory quality control blg. they picture on their brochures!

Has anyone had any issues with delam on 2011 models? I purchased my 8313ss in March, so far the only issue I have had is a leaking outside shower.

Taking it to the dealer after labor day to get fixed before the cold weather starts!

No delaminations on my 2011 Rockwood. The only problem I have is the AC vents keep closing but I bought a bag of O-Rings today that should correct that loose condition.

I do plan on watching my exterior walls. My Rig was made in March.

Let me suggest that you take measures to prevent delamination caused by water infiltration. Even though your unit is new, regularly check the roof for places that water can get in. There are many seams that need to be completely sealed. Once it gets inside, underneath the skin, etc. it will travel all over. I wish I had done this because I believe my delam problems may not have happened.

Many have used a product called Eternabond to seal the seams with great success.

X2 This is my 3rd new 5th wheel and I installed 6" Eternabond on the roof and around all the hardware up there. I also feel the roof is the on link many folks do not address in time to prevent water leakage and damage. I cleaned my roof 3 days after I picked up my trailer and installed Eternabond .

GREAT STUFF!
Here is a link to the 4" but I decided on the 6" wide roll.
ETERNABOND ROOFSEAL WHITE 4" X 50' ROLL

I have a 2011 came off the line in end of June. I picked it up middle of July. No problems yet. I hope and pray not to have any. I have read that trailers built in the summer time have a better bond on the fiberglass curing process due to warmer temp's. My eternabond just came in the mail. I am putting 6" on the front and rear cap and 6 " on the slides to overlap the existing tape and make it cover a portion of the slide face that closes against the slide seals. So the tape just don't end in the crack of the slide face. Looks like to me that is where the water would get in. Water just sits along this seam. I ordered the 4" for all skylights as I have 6 and antenna's ect. Wish us all the best of luck with on going problem. Hopefully this cancer skips the 2011's.

We are getting a new 2011 Rockwood 2702SS and from the various postings it seems to be a good idea to go ahead and apply EternaBond sealing tape to the roof/side seams before a leak starts. However, is FR going to have an issue with it? Is it going to void my warranty?

I have contacted Forest River as well as the roof manufacturer and they said that it is fine to apply. It is just like a preventive measure and not modifing the roof. Trust me when I say spend the time and a few dollars now to protect your investment. Take the time to apply it properly and it will be paying for itself 5 and 10 years down the road.
