2011 2604 Rockwood Deliveried

All,

Picked up the TT last night. Very happy with it and can't wait to get out on the maiden voyage next weekend. Thanks for all the input on delivery. I was able to use the information to question the dealer and get comfortable with the TT, but will need to get out there to really understand it. I do have a few questions:

1. I have the Reese Dual Cam Sway Bar System. It worked great. It leveled my truck to with in a ¼ inch. The tech at the dealer was really good. I feel comfortable setting it up. But, he mentioned that I should remove the bars if I am going to do any tight turns while backing. To me…the newbie…every turn is tight backing up. How do I gage normal from tight? I don’t want to damage the system.

2. My stowage spot is less then a ½ mile from my house. When I bring it home to load for the weekend or do maintenance, do I have to connect the cam system for a short distance tow?

3. Since the TT is 110 VAC and 12 VDC, what is the best way to shut her down electrically? I know the 110 VAC is depended on a source, but with the battery connected the 12VDC system continues to get power from the battery. I did not see a battery disconnect switch to isolate the 12VDC system. Should I disconnect the battery or install a BDS? Other then draining the battery, is there a reason to disconnect it when not being used?

Thanks George

1. We never disconnected sway bars when backing. no problems experienced
2. No need to connect bars for 1/4 mile tow at less than highway speeds
3. Add a disconnect switch at battery when storing or battery will go dead within a week due to drain by propane detector, stereo, etc.
All items were experienced by myself as well.
Enjoy
