2012 8312 ss Advice

Hi, I am new to your site. I am a member of the Outbackers. Could any one please me me info on the 2012 8312ss. We are possibly looking to trade our 2011 301 BQ TT. We love the Outback, but the Rockwood floor plan caught our eye, especially with the outside kitchen. The Rockwood seems to be a well made TT, the Outback has very good quality as well. I am just not that familiar with the Rockwood. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You, Jim

We purchased ours in Nov 2011. The only "Rockwood" issue we have had is the rear stabilizer. We did not get the electric jack instead we got manual ones. This was recommended to us by our dealer because the electric one burnt up or break. The problem is: the electric ones stabilize the unit so much better. We felt like we were on a boat when someone walks in or through the unit. We had to have stabilizer bars installed at our cost. which reduced the sway a lot. Still not a secure as the electric ones. One other think, get the two year manufactures warranty. We are started to have issues with most of our appliances.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

Great trailer, we love it! We had a Keystone Zeppelin, what an improvement! No major problems with the trailer. Had some user error, being that there is so much more to this trailer. We had some issues getting heat to the bunk house. We found out that there was plenty of air from the heater. The problem has to do with all of the airflow from the outside kitchen through the rear bedroom cabinets. Fixed with a can of expanding foam and some silicon.
