2012 rockwood 8280WS questions

Brand new to camping. Couple of questions.

1. What is the "Tank Heater" switch?

2. After attaching cable service to the outside cable hook up the TV is not getting the signal... The TV is clearly only getting signal from the antenna. Do I have disconnect the antenna and connect to the cable hookup in the cabinet? Or is there some way to switch it to use the cable?

Thanks!

1. If you have a water Heater with LP/Electric then it has a switch outside by the gas valve that turns on the 110 Volts.

2. If you have a power boost anttena then you would need to turn it off to get the cable to work.

Thanks onetonford!

The switch for the water heater is on the main panel. But what I don't quite understand is the switch next to the water heater switch labeled "tank heater".

I would guess you have a cold weather package on the trailer and the tank heater switch is for the heaters on the black, gray and fresh tanks so they

Welcome to the 8280ws un-official owners club.

We have had our Rockwood 8280ws for 7 months, are full-timers and really like it. Only one problem, bad wheel bearing grease zerks from the factory. As others have told you the switch by the gas valve is for the electric element part of your water heater. The "tank heater" switch on the control panel inside the coach is for the heating of your holding tanks during freezing weather. The TV in our unit is a Toshiba and you have to select from the on-screen menu either cable or antenna. Good luck with your new camper and safe and pleasent travels. Tom-s
