Trailer is fixed. It wasn't hard but since I'm on the road I devoted parts of 2 weekends to it. I replaced all the metal behind the front door when I only really had to replace one piece and the fender flare.

Piece behind the wheels wasn't damaged by the tire but had a scratch on it. Piece behind the back door had a dent in it when I bought it.

I didn't realize there was roll caulking under the trim strip until I took it apart, so I used white caulk and ran a heavy bead across the screw line.

I couldn't find a caulk local to match the colorado gold radius metal and trim, but found something close enough it isn't noticeable. It looks pretty good, wife says it looks great.

I'm actually thinking about bringing it up here to the job and pulling the sunset trail home since the windjammer has so much more room and also recliners.

So I spent around $900 since the tire blew. Don't remember exactly what I paid for the tires but it obviously needed tires anyway.
Still need to touch up some very hard to see pockmarks on the white paint and fiberglass above the tire.

Any pictures of the repair in progress? I haven't ordered the parts yet.

I should have taken some but didn't. It was hot, I was only home for the weekend, was aggravated, and in a hurry.

Sorry.

I finally got the windjammer on the road. I pulled it about 130 miles to Cahokia, IL. I decided to pull the sunset trail I'd been living in home and bring the windjammer back. So much more comfort and room.

Pulled good, no difference in fuel mileage between pulling the windjammer and the lighter sunset trail 250rb.

Better awning mechanism, I can leave the awning out most of the time.

I pulled it up here in 90 plus degree weather and my tranny on the silverado 1500 only went up 4 degrees in temp so no problem there. 194 degrees is as high as the temp got.

Only a few problems/inconveniences:
6 cu ft fridge is too small, I'm used to the 8 cu ft in my sunset trail and it also had an outside fridge, so I'll probably end up buying a dorm fridge and set it on the kitchen counter.
Air isn't keeping up in this 90-100 degree heat, it got up to 88 in here yesterday. With the air vent blowing on me and a fan I stayed comfortable. I'm wondering if replacing the single 13,500 unit with a 15,000 unit would do the trick. Maybe even a heat pump so I'd have electric heat in the winter. I'm doubting it as the sunset trail 15,000 unit wasn't keeping up either but not such a glaring difference. I can't add a 2nd air cond because I have only a 30 amp service. I have no interest in adding a 50 amp service or doing a 20 amp deal for a forward air conditioner.

The major inconvenience is that the toilet broke. It started running water and wouldn't quit. While working on it I broke it further and the flap wouldn't open so I had to shut off the water to the entire trailer. I had wife and dog up for the weekend so it was a major problem. I had to flush the toilet with a screwdriver and flush it with a pitcher. It finally quit running so I could at least turn the water back on.

When we left to take the wife and lab home Sunday morning I took the toilet out and hauled it home with me, I was surprised at how easy it came out. I took the toilet out of the sunset trail, they were the same except the sunset trail has a less intricate water flushing mechanism. I brought it back with me and put it in the windjammer. Now I have to buy the identical toilet and put one back in the sunset trail. Both toilets are thetford.

So overall I'm pretty pleased. Lots of room I didn't have in the sunset trail, except in the refrigeration area. And it pulled great. I wouldn't want to drag it all over the country but I'm positive now that I can get it to Florida. I'll eventually buy a ton srw with a duramax though. and then probably a fifth wheel.
