2015 Rockwood Ultra Lite Insulation

Quick question: Does the rockwood ultralite have insulation between the underbelly and the floor? We had some repairs done and they say it doesn't that it's built into the floor and walls. We have the diamond package if that matters. Thank you so much!

In 2015, the floors in a Rockwood Ultra Lite were a composite construction, several layers, one being a foam board, compressed to form a rigid floor.
In either 2017 or 2018, they switched to plywood.

so does that mean the foam board is the insulation?

Yes. According to the current brochure, floors are r14 but that is with plywood flooring. I can't find a figure for a 2015 but it is probably similar

I have a 2015 Rockwood Ultra Lite and was told at the time I purchased it new from the dealer that the floor was the layering style mentioned earlier to include the sandwiched foam/insulation.

Our 2015 Rockwood Ultralite has the composite floor, which consists of about 2 inches of white Styrofoam insulation sandwiched between two layers of very thin plywood (maybe 3/16" luan). There is no insulation between the underside of the floor and the "coroplast"? underbelly enclosure.

Remember that foam IS insulation. Cut open your cooler and you'll see.

In fact, it makes better insulation than it does a floor!!
