2015 Rockwood Windjammer 3001

Anyone own one of these? How do you like it?

What do you tow it with?

Any suggestions for options you like?

Does the king sized bed make a big difference?

I've narrowed down my search to this or the Flagstaff sister model. Looking for owner feedback.

We also have the 3008W and also love ours! Our old TT had the RV short queen and we hated that. Our Windjammer has the 60 X 80 queen and we are very happy with it. We went with the 3008 as the front kitchen offered the most counter space and the wardrobe and drawers in the back bedroom offered plenty of clothes storage.

I'm looking at the 3001 because of the King sized bed. I've learned that's a big deal for us.

Definitely shop for what you want! we learned the hard way with our first TT. Whatever the floor plan I believe you will be happy with a Windjammer.

Nice floor plan. We look at one but went with the new 2819VS. Pulls great. That V nose front sure cuts the wind. We pull with 1/2ton Chevy Sliverado, 5.3 with 3:43 ratio. You will love that trailer.
Have fun. From North Texas.

Here's a link.

I'm debating the pros and cons of sofa vs. recliners. I'm leaning towards recliners. So many choices....

You are talking about (2) different Trailers. You started with a (Windjammer 3001) and the Link is for a (Rockwood Ultra V 2819VS) ,Not the same units. Youroo!!In both units you will be looking (over the kitchen work area) to see the TV.While on the Sofa bed or the Recliners.

Yeah, I was just providing the link for you since you asked nicely.

We liked the 3008W a lot also, but the large closets in the 3001W are very nice as well. We are still debating. If we decide to go Forest River, the Windjammer/Flagstaff V-Lite is the one we are leaning towards. But we are still contemplating the Airstreams (yes, apples and oranges, I know). We intend to sit on this decision for a while longer while we do more research. Floorplan wise we prefer the WindJammer. But all this talk about quality build and warranty work has us concerned. Weighing all the options.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I really, really like the 3001W floor plan. What I am concerned about is the longevity of this model. I am still planning my purchase, but am leaning towards something that will last me 10 years or more. I've had my boat for 12 years now, and as soon as I get rid of it, I'm pulling the trigger on a TT. But the more I read these forums the more I get the sense that these models are not built for the long run. Am I making an incorrect assumption?
