2017 2109s front window

We are new proud owners of our 2017 2109s. Just curious, why is there no front window cover installed? The earlier models have it. we are about to make our first road trip and I'm wondering if we need to be concerned about damage to the window.

Evidently, that's the new thing in the late 2017 models. Mine has the old style. The new ones do look nice. I guess the chances of it getting hit are slim as the TV will block almost all thrown rocks, but it still makes me nervous. The last two rock cracks I've gotten on cars have all come from above and not straight on. That tinted auto glass isn't cheap.

We just got a 2017 2506s and there is no window cover. It is automotive glass. I do miss the cover on the old models.

I wanted the new rounded window with no cover. Wound up with a 2016 with the old flat covered window. While I say the newer one does look much sleeker, I am thinking I am glad we got the old flat style.

What would have been a deal-breaker was the flat, non-rounded shower. Supposedly they didn't change to the round showers till 2017, and all the 2016's I have seen (live or in pictures) had the flat shower. But lo and behold, my 2016 had the round shower Those few inches makes the difference between being "tight but usable" or being "an unusable waste of space"

We also have a 2017 2109s that we ordered in April and picked up in May and it DOES have the cover over the front window. I would go back and talk to your dealer as all of the sales literature I have show the cover.
