2018-19 Mini Lite 2511S Likes/Dislikes

A retired couple looking to buy a new Mini Lite 2511S and would appreciate hearing from 2511S owners likes/dislikes/comments. Thank you.

Don't have one, but I can tell you that watching TV with the dinette will be a PITA. If you're big TV watchers, you'll want to get the optional theater seating or hide-a-bed/sofa. But then you'll have to figure out a table arrangement to eat from.

Watching this one... We are also considering the 2511 as well as the 2506. We are planning to go with the hide-a-bed in both plans just in case one of our teen sons comes along which will likely only be once in a while. Prices seem to be all over the place here in the southeast....

Thank you rockfordroo. Agree with the dinette and table arrangement to the TV. If this model had a U shaped dinette option it would be great but the slide out refrigerator prevents this. We do see in the 2511S floorplan an optional TV hookup in the BR.

We think since the 2511S is still pretty new, there may not be that many owners out there.

There are many good Mini Lite floorplans to choose from.

Just picked up......

Our 2019 2507s 3 days ago. Havent used it yet. 16 degrees this AM. This makes trailer number 4 in the last 25 years.
Ourselves we wouldn't like not having a sofa. Wouldnt want to spend a raining day with only the booth to sit at.
Looking forward to warmer weather and trying ours out.

Have a Jesus filled day

That is a really nice unit. I would get the theater seating with recliners and a couple of t.v. trays.

Mini Light

We purchased a Mini Light when we retired in 2013. Our TT is a2109S which is a few feet shorter than the 2511S you are referring to.
We have been very happy with the 2109s. I would suggest it to any one with on children. My only wish is that the bathroom was larger.

DW and I are considering same unit...like the theater seating; thought for eating arrangements is either tv trays or folding table; if granddaughter makes any trips with us there is always a pallet on the floor...

What we like about the 2511S floorplan:
*A permanent queen bed that you can close off with the sliding doors vice a curtain.
*Under foot of bed and exterior pass thru storage.
*Wardrobe slide out.
*Optional TV hookups in the bedroom.
*Lots of cabinets.
*Bathroom layout.

What we wish the 2511S had:
*A large U shaped dinette (not an option with the slide out refrigerator)

The 2506S comes close to the 2511S but there are trade-offs. You gain an outdoor kitchen but loose exterior and pass thru storage space that is taken up by the front and outdoor kitchens. Just comes down to personal preference between these two.

New 2511S Owner

Just finished 3 nights of camping with a brand new 2019 2511s. We have the hide-a-bed sofa. Like everything about the TT so far.

We used the hide-a-bed for two grand daughters one night. I tried stretching out on it and was surprised that it was longer than I am (I am 6ft). I think two adults can sleep there easily and there was still plenty of space to get around it (as in 3ft).

Found out it has 2 gray tanks, galley and bathroom tanks each 30 gallons according to FR. It has 3 tank valves, 2 gray and 1 black. The Galley dumps about midway along slide. The bathroom gray and black dump in a standard combined dump tube with two separate tank valves near the rear.

I will try to answer any questions.

Great to know you have two 30 gallon gray tanks.

We have seen photos of two types of hide-a-bed sofas. The white one from a 2018 2511S (photo) has rigid arms and the brown one from a 2019 2511S (photo) has rounded arms and looks more comfortable. Does your 2019 have the rigid or rounded type hide-a-bed arms?

Camp4two,
There are 3 different interior fabric choices. The Indigo is the white you show, the dark brown you show I don't remember the name of, and we have the third choice which is Moca (a brown mottled leather-like fabric) with rounded soft arms.

It is very comfortable to sit in for me (6 ft) and my wife (5 ft 2 in). Her legs were not as comfortable with the Indigo sofa.

Our TT is shown with pictures and video on HaylettRV website (2019 2511s stock number R9208).

Hope this helps,

Thank you timetogo8. Wife and I saw your trailer video on Haylett a few days ago. We think we are going to have to also special order this trailer as there are no 2019 2511S Rockwood or same Flagstaff trailers on dealer's lots in Nevada. We will be in CA next month and plan to see a dealer's 2019 2511S.

We like how you packaged your trailer.

We saw the awnings you have over the slide outs. Do you find these awnings helpful?

Do you mind if we ask how much was your trailer cost (before taxes/fees).

We just picked up the 2019 Flagstaff version 25FBLS with the hide abed. We have the brown leather sofa. Came with the slide toppers, two max vent fans and covers, 15K AC upgrade pretty much ever option except for the stainless steel appliance package. That is how it was on the dealers lot. We have spent two nights camping in it. Gotta say we love the large bathroom and shower. No more crappy bathhouses for us. The separate bedroom room is great as well. I also sprung for the backup camera. I bought it on Amazon and installed it myself. Super easy. I highly recommend it.

Camp4two,
The slide topper awnings are good for keeping debris off the slide top. I usually bring the slides in without checking what is on the roof, unless there was some wicked wind storm in the woods or something. I think it would be an extra barrier to the heat from the sun in very hot and sunny climates also if there isn't shade available.

I also had one on my previous TT, so now I think I need them

FYI. Our ordered 2511s took about 8 weeks to come in. We were told 8-12 weeks. Customer orders are put in the FR build queue ahead of all dealer stock orders according to our dealer. It did appear that there wasn't any additional dealer stock showing up online while we waited for ours to be built.

Great to know this.

Did your tires come in 14 or 15 inch?
Are they C or D ply tires?

Castle Rock ST205/75/R14 Load Range D

The best part of the suspension system is probably the Dexter axles they use.

The information I have says there is only 30 gals. gray tank. Do you know if they all have two 30 gal. gray tanks or did you order the unit that way?

Because I plan on boondocking often, that would be a real plus in my opinion.

Edit -- Sorry, I found the information. The brochure I picked up at the dealer shows the 2511s with 30 gal. I just checked the Forest River web site and it shows 60 gals.

Be Well! KKORO

That made me laugh. We bought our first TT last Oct. Kids are all grown, the youngest (28) still lives at home while going to school. Asked all the kids if they would be camping with us before we bought. Nah, maybe in a tent, etc. Picked up the camper last Oct, towed to a local campground for 2 nights, and everybody was with us!
Have fun with whatever you pick.
