2018 2702WS Filter Type?

Hey folks, we're going to be picking up a 2702WS this weekend and I was told that the unit comes with a filter housing but no filter. Does anyone know what kind of filter is needed for the housing that comes with this model?

Your dealer should and you'll probably be shocked at the cost of it!

Well, my 2018 2706WS came with a filter. It wasn't in the filter housing, but was behind the TV with the documentation. Maybe it was missing from your trailer or they gave it to someone else for parts. I would insist that your dealer provide it.

You'll run into problems with the water filter canister and I guarantee it will crack and leak.

There are HUNDREDS of threads on the uselessness of it.

Just get yourself a Camco filter and put it right on the pedestal. $30 or so. Use it for a year and toss it.

Here is a representative one with a pic of the filter housing you'll likely get.

Picture show position of canister in two different positions. Which is correct? Label on on top and label on bottom.

Not $30. $17.87 at Walmart.

If I recall correctly, the replacement canisters are sold in a two-pack at Walmart for about $22. The only difference is that you don't get that 6" flex hose.

Buy the first one for about $19 bucks with the flex hose. After that, buy the pair pack for about $19 bucks.

My 2702 came with a filter. It was in the drawer under the dinette. It is still there actually. Haven't put it in yet. Guess I should get on that.

…..or..... based on the previous comments, you can uninstall the filter housing entirely and have it to sell along with an unused filter.

Ours is in the front drivers side storage bin and is the original. I've seen all the issues on here but I think there are many many more that are just fine. I lightly lube the o ring and only use the tool to remove it. It seems to be just fine.
