I towed our smaller shamrock over 5000 miles, and enjoyed it, and want to enjoy more room. I will probably upgrade the truck in a year or so, but wanted to reassure my self from some of you on this forum. By the way what are you all towing? Anything similar? By the way I weighed the gear and everything going in the camper on an airport luggage scale I bought at auction. I might be able to use this for younger weight also.

Rockwood 2707WS. 7100 Dry weight, about 8k loaded (tanks empty).

2016 GMC Sierra 1500 CC/SB/ 4x4/5.3 engine/ 3:42 rear gear/ 6 speed auto/ LT tires
2018 Rockwood UL 2902WS/ E2 1000/10,000 hitch
Have no trouble at all towing. No problem stopping, no problem with sway when 18 wheelers pass. I am completely satisfied.

RFSims, I have the same truck except Chevrolet, my trailer is a 2019 FR Vibe 28rl and is very close to yours in dimensions and the only problem I have is I can feel the rear of the truck swaying back and forth at highway speeds, it is a little slow on power but o well

Thanks all, I had it weighed and am within specs. I will have to watch tounge weight and my loading, but am happy with the camper. If I have to upgrade tv in a year I will, just not right now. What else is anyone towing with a 1/2 ton that is similar?
