I guess when the internal band/sensor battery dies I'll be buying the sensors that go on the cap and reprogramming my unit.

The 2019 Chevy 1500 and the 2020 2500HD with advanced trailering system come with 4 TPMS sensors. Of coarse you have to have them installed.

As much as I like Rockwood, I wish they would quit with the installation of proprietary equipment in an attempt to get buyers of their trailers to purchase additional overpriced stuff from their vendors. Its admirable they are giving you a system (giving used loosely) but when I am getting loved like that I would also like to be kissed.

1- Back up Camera mounts - Furrion gives them a plastic mount that probably cost them less than $1, the buyer buys an overpriced camera system. Plenty of higher quality wireless cameras for a lot less than Furrion's prices.

2- Install a $1 jack and put a Zamp decal next to it. Another overpriced item with plenty of better and lower cost options out there. Wire the thing reverse polarity than standard just to make it a little more aggravating if one wanted to use a different manufacturers panel and that jack.

3 - Now the TST internal sensors, battery non replaceable. It does have a 3 year warranty so that tells me it will last at least 3 years, but little info can be found on TST's site. By the looks of the sensor being yellow as opposed to black, they evidently produced a version for OEM's. What a joke. 4 of those sensors are shown as being $441 at TST and a single is $77 at Etrailer.

I wonder what will be next?

I get your point .... just like Chevy Ford Ram they all have the partners in crime and retail ..... I take the good with the bad and say buyer beware ... I knew all you listed before I bought my Rockwood .... I bought it based on research and knowing it is a industry know for poor quality and workmanship .... I expect to deal with similar problems others have with RV's ... so far 36 days camping since March and the Rockwood has been great

In my limited experience, staff at TST respond promptly to questions emailed to info@tsttruck.com, the address listed on their web site. I'm sure you can get any questions answered promptly. Whether or not you'll like the answers, I cannot say.

Now that I have my new trailer and programmed the sensor IDs into the display, is there a consensus as to where the high and low pressure alarm levels should be set, when the specified cold inflation pressure is 65 PSI?

From my reading, I gather that the default temperature alarm level (158F) is satisfactory.

Thanks in advance for helpful guidance.

Never mind. I found ependydad's web page addressing the subject.

Seeking help teaching GMC the RVs TST507

Hey everyone!! My wife and I just purchased our first RV! We bought the Rockwood Ultra Lite 2608BDS. I was trying to “teach” my truck the TST 507 from the RV in her truck. She has a 2019 GMC Sierra SLT. The Trailer feature on the truck allows you to build profiles for different trailer you may hook up. When we hook up “Rhonda” (the Ultra Lite) there is an option to setup the tire pressure monitoring system for the trailer. However, when i attempted to use the XDAS EL-50448 TMPS Reset tool during the setup process, the truck doesn’t recognize and times out.

Does anyone know how to set up the TMPS for the trailer in the GMCs (or any trucks) trailer profile?? I’m at my wits end here

We picked up our Forest River Rockwood Ultra Lite 2608BS on valentines day. Been trying to get the TST tire monitor programmed since then with no luck by following the instructions given in the package. After looking at several videos on YouTube and still not finding a way to program the TST unit with our internal sensors, I found the following video on the TST web site. https://youtu.be/aSeHG6a-LhQ It was a breeze to setup following those steps. The only issue I found was when trying to program the high PSI for the trailer, it will only go down to 101 PSI, the video say to set the high PSI to 10% over the cold tire pressure which would put the high PSI around 72.

You first must set the low pressure warning. Then you can set the high pressure.

We had the same issues as everyone else, we knew it was supposed to come on our new 8329SB but weren’t sure it was there. Our delivery process was terrible, the tech was a nice guy but he didn’t know how to work pretty much anything. The place we bought it is done with you once you sign the paperwork. Never again there.

I contacted Forest River who said it should’ve been installed and the tech should’ve set it up with as part of delivery. Let them know if I found that it hadn;t been installed. I next called TST and they were awesome. The young lady I spoke to emailed me the below link to their manual on setup. She said they are in the process of making a video on the subject. Their customer service is the best. It’s nice to be able to communicate and quickly get a result without a lot of drama. I hope the link helps.

With most vehicles having GPS standard or stand allow units for our journeys, all the safety features available for our trailers, like TPMS, back-up cameras...
What does the dash/wind shield look like with all the monitors mounted now?

Forgot one, Dash Cam too.

I have a 4UCAM trailer cam that’s wireless, the monitor is 7 inches on a pedestal mount. It does take up a lot of room but doesn’t affect my field of view. It’s worth it when backing up or just seeing what’s behind you. The TST monitor is small in comparison and there’s a perfect spot for it on my center console of my truck so no issues that I can tell so far. The color monitor is nice, makes it feel like it’s high end.

FWIW we previously had an EEZ TPMS system with valve stem mounted sensors. The system worked ok but was prone to RFID interference if it was on the dash near the electronics. We kept it on the center console or to the far right on the dash. The TST isn’t affected on any location on the dash, I moved it around to see if it was. I really like the TST cradle that doesn’t require a suction cup, makes it far more versatile for options and locations to place the monitor.

TPMS on Spare Tire

Does anyone know if they put a TPMS sensor on the spare tire as well? The valve stem cover on the spare is not the same as on the two main tires, wondering if i should bother crawling under there and try to find a sensor on the TST base unit.

I would doubt they would include one on the spare.

I don’t think there’s one on the spare. I tested out our monitor and it only picked up 4 tires
