2020 Rockwood Mini Lite 2507s v2 Soundbar Issue

Has anyone purchased one of the new 2020's with the soundbar set-up inside instead of the ceiling surround speakers. I just purchased a new 2020 Rockwood Mini Lite 2507s and the new design is with a soundbar below the TV instead of the 4 ceiling speakers. The issue I am having is of I play the radio thru the soundbar it is extremely loud. If I place the TV thru the soundbar, it is barely able to be heard. It has the Furion TV and Furion DVD / radio panel. When I run the TV thru it, I turn it all the way up and it says 49 MAX. I can not get it to go any louder. If I try to turn the volume up on the actual TV it states it is connected to the Furion DVD / Radio. I can barely hear the TV with the AC on.

Has anyone run into this problem? Anyone identified how to remove the MAX and go beyond the 49 volume setting?

Thanks

I don't have the soundbar, but my TV will play through the overhead speakers THRU the radio. Have you tried that? There's a mode setting on the radio.

Hi Rockfordo

The newest 2020 model (new build) version 2 doesn’t have the four ceiling speakers anymore that you are referencing. The soundbar replaces tho ceiling speaker. I also looked at a new 2020 model version 1 and did as you stated and played the tv thru the four ceiling speakers and everything was nice, loud and crisp. On mine, it is nice loud and crisp when playing the radio. When I switch over to the tv I put it is so low I can not even hear the tv thru the soundbar. It only goes up to 49 and maxes out (says MAX) when going they tv. I need to be able to turn it up more. There has to be a setting somewhere.

I understand the ceiling speakers have been replaced by the sound bar. But I would expect that the TV would still play the sound bar (speakers) THRU the radio. My radio has a mode called "TV audio." It plays the TV through the speakers. I would expect yours would have a similar mode and would play the TV through the sound bar.

It does have that mode and does play the tv thru the soundbar. Issue is that it isn’t very loud. Sitting in the recliner I can barely make out the words it is so low. But when I run the radio thru the soundbar it is fine. It is like the Furrion tv isn’t allowing it to go any higher in volume. I just can’t find any setting on the tv

Got it. Another option you can use: get a 3.5mm patch cord and connect the TV's earphone jack to the radio input and try that. That's what I did before I realized I had a TV audio mode.

Thank you very much. That is a great idea. I will give that a try until they can figure out how to correct the issue where I can use it correctly. Thanks again

I have a new 2512S Mimi Lite and I found out there are 2 modes for the TV sound. I used TV Audio 2 and it sounds much better coming thru the sound bar.

Thank you very much. I will give this a try. WhT was the other one you were using, TV Audio 1?

Also, I did speak with Rockwood. They did acknowledge there is an issue and are working with the radio manufacturer to find a resolution. They said in the meantime I can run AV cables from the TV to back of radio and that should temporarily fix the issue.

Yes, I think I was originally using TV Audio 1.
I also discovered that you need to adjust the volume with the radio's remote control and not the TV remote.
