2109s slide out not working.

We put the slide in last night on our 2013 Rockwood 2109s and today it would not work.
Doesn't seem to be getting power to motor. Any suggestions on trouble shooting electrical problems with switch or wiring.

Breaker thrown? Any inline fuses? Will it turn with manual crank? Just some basics to check first.

Great. Glad it was an easy one.

We had a different problem with the slide on our 2109s last year. Same symptom--no movement; different problem--broken bolt. The bolt on the rack mechanism sheared off and fell out in my hand when I wiggled it. Replaced the bolt with a stronger one from Home Depot and now carry a spare, just in case.

Blown slide-out fuse

We've had our 2109S for almost a year now and have had constant issues with the inline fuse blowing. No problems our first trip out but on the second trip it would not close. We had to manually crank it in. Took it to the dealership who replaced the fuse and tested it over and over, and said it was fine. However, the next trip it slide out but would not slide back in. My husband replaced the inline fuse again and this time watched it as I pushed the slide-in button. He saw a spark from the fuse as it blew again. Obviously we had to manually crank it closed. Before we spend time taking it back to the dealership again, I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this same issue.

Haven't had this problem with mine yet, but can anyone tell me what kind of fuse this is? I want to make sure I have spares. Is it an automotive type blade fuse? What is the amperage rating?

Thanks

Coudersport you be hitting resistance from the corner of the bed. We have not experienced your problem on our 2015, but one of us will lift the bed corner when retracting. I have noticed that the slide is tight at that location.

Automotive blade-type fuse, 30 amp, located under the trailer frame in front of the fresh water tank and on the street side. After our experience with the slide, I always carried extra 15, 30, and 40 amp blade-type fuses in the trailer.

Shinbone the fuse is a auto 30amp (green) it is a good idea to have some on hand. I had this problem and have decided it blows when it is put under stress while bringing in or going out. If you go to far either way it will blow. I have been very careful to stop in time and have not blown a fuse in a year. Also a big problem with this model is the slide motor coming of the wall it is only held on by 4 bolts and it is bolted to the very thin wall. there are a few threads on here telling how to fix this.

Thanks fanrgs and Tomgky. I'll make sure I have some of these. And also check those mounting bolts.
