2304 DS

Hello from MN

Just bought a 2015, really like the DS!
First trip out the fridge fan was so loud (dometic) it was terrible inside and outside the TT. Anyone know about a dometic upgrade fan kit?

Thanks

Fridge fan noise

Yes it is More then expected, also the inverter fan down by the fuse panel seems to kick off at 3AM. We found that leaving the AC fan on low continuously helps drown out the noise. We just finished two trips, over 4,000 miles and loved the 2304DS. We added a 3" foam to the Sealy mattress and sleep much better. Good luck with yours.

Fan fix

If you would please let me know if the fan fix helps. We travel with two dachunds who hear everything in the campground so we keep the fan on the unit to mask the noises. Niemeyers did a good job fixing our fridge once we got it in for repair. We are in Blaine so the trip to their shop is only about 35 minutes depending on traffic.

I just purchased a 2104S a few months ago but am eyeing a 2304DS and was wondering what can and can't you get to with the slides closed and also is there any AC outlets near the counter by the cooktop?

Thanks

you can get to the bathroom and into the fridge with the slides in. the bed can not be put down with them closed. there is not an outlet by the stove but there is one next to the sink.

My 2304 DS has an outlet by the stove area, it is on the bottom of the cabinet right next to the stove. I found mine by mistake reaching up to turn off the light mounted there.

Also in MN and planning on buying something over the winter. Is Niemeyers the only Rockwood dealer in the twin cities? Considering a 2304 (no slide out).

Dealers

Niemeyers is the only dealer on the forest river website listed note they have moved the Maple Grove location to Albertville.

Thank you. I would have stopped by Maple Grove!

Do you have any pricing advice? Seems buying a trailer/RV is like buying a car 40 years ago and I don't have a lot of practice negotiating at the bazaar.

We have had great experiences with Niemeyers.\

For pricing advice I would compare a few rv's of same quality, and if you feel good about the $'s buy it!

Post Zamp solar

Has anyone used any other solar options than the Zamp that is listed for the Rockwood? It appears to me it is the typical/standard DC connector. And since the Zamp has the controller on the panel, it would indicate any panel with an added controller would work.

I literally just purchased my 2304DS hours ago and am now going though the purchase list creation process. So inputs and suggestions for mods, accessories and such is welcomed.

Be aware that the Zamp plug is reverse polarity!

Test with a meter. All of them should be wired alike so any Zamp panel would be PnP.
