2304DS Toilet Upgrade
I'm looking to replace the Dometic 300 toilet in my trailer with a 310. The rough in is 8.5" for the 300 and 10" for the 310. The toilet is angled and one side is about 9" and the other side about 11". Has anyone upgraded their toilet to a 310?

I was hoping for a better response. I guess I'll go buy one and hope I can return it if it doesn't fit.

I hear you. Not much mention of the 2304DSs. I would love to here how it goes. [emoji3]. Any other mods that you’ve done? So far the biggest thing I’ve done is the MorRyde steps and tool box.

Its a work in progress. I threw out the old mattress and went with a memory foam from Amazon. Replaced the door window with tinted window from Ross RV Innovations. Took out every drawer and glued and screwed the bottom and sides. Replaced the shower head with an Oxygenics and lastly installed a LevelMatePro. I'm looking to upgrade steps as well. Been looking at the SolidStep and Torklift.

The wife and I are really happy with the new steps. They feel nice and solid. Need to figure out how to light them up now.
I have a few goodies to install this weekend. SlimShade, RVLock v4.0 and the Heng's RV Chandilier. Hopefully all will go smooth. I was considering the LevelMatePro just haven't pulled the trigger on that one yet.
Yeah, the bottom of the lower larger drawers fell out so I added some plywood to the bottom with tons of glue and staples. Maybe I will do the other large drawer this weekend as well as a precaution.

I'm thinking the angled back on the 310 should clear the wall. It has porcelain bowl with slow close wood seat and lid.

Installing upgrade toilet
I just completed the upgrade to the 320. My Rv is Rockwood Fifth wheel 8285WS. I was concerned with clearance of the upgrade. The 310 says you need 10 inches from center of the sewer hole to the back of the 310 toilet.
The sealing gasket is large enough to slip the 310 toilet forward away from the back wall by 1/2". You can also slip the 310 toilet 1/2" from side to side.
That is about all you have to work with outside the measurements that is required by Dometic for the 310
Good Luck.

I did not have a problem with the side to side, plenty of clearance.
But the rear clearance for the rear is MINIUM OF 10 1/2".
The back of the 310/320 is flat across the back, it is not round.
Good Luck.

The 310 is a round bowl and the 320 is elongated. Both are available in White or Bone.

Upgrade 310
Please go back & re-read my post, I had to make a correction. You are correct the 310 is a round bowl & 320 is elongated.
Sorry about the mistake.
Thank you.

I was just about to order a 310 toilet to replace the 300 in my 2304DS when I took some final measurements and concluded it would not fit because of the longer set back required for the 310 and the fact that the toilet is mounted at an angle. I believe the back of the toilet at the top would contact the two walls in the corner before the drain holes line up. I'm pretty sure the 310 or 320 would not fit.

Well..... I bought a 310 today and installing it was a breeze right up until I went to raise the lid. It will not raise up enough to stay up. I'm going to look at modifying the lower part of the towel closet door.

Appreciate the update. Does it move up enough to use it? Any chance you can post a pic or two?

Hello,
I just bought the same model and was actually able to fit a 320 in there at a similar angle as the original. You have to do a little wiggling and nudging it to fit in front of cabinets but it worked like a charm. So to answer your question, yes even the 310 will work fine as well. And my toilet seat sits up just fine. I guess it may vary for others if theirs were installed differently at the factory.

Do you feel it was a good upgrade? Does it feel more sturdy? I am a bigger guy and am wary of the current 300 plastic .
Thanks

OMG YES!
Oh heck YES! I'm a bigger guy as well and this is the KING of all throne's lol. I feel that it is hands down the BEST upgrade you can do to any TT. I even have one in my Cedar Creek Cottage Destination Trailer and in my 2304DS that I just got.

I wrestled with the 310 for several hours. It would not fit in a way for the seat to stay up enough for me to sit on it. It's a great upgrade if it fits.

I installed a 510 in our 2304ds. I removed the closet door so the lid would stay up.
Such an improvement over the POC that came in the trailer.
