2304s slide out question

We have just purchased a new Rockwood 2304s TT and after reading the manuals on everything I could not find the place where to manually crank in the slide, if the need ever arises. It came with a crank that is about 2 feet long.
The owners manual is not very good at point out such how to do this.

Thanks

Does the couch reside in the slide if so it is under there.

Do you have the power tongue jack, made by Lippert? If so, that crank handle goes to that- remove the black top cap, and it fits in the slot to manually fix overextending the worm gear drive mechanism. Believe me, I've had to use it several times! It may also fit the slide outs, but the manual crank-out would be under the unit, IMO. I read you must remove the motor to do it, but not sure, myself. Randy

on my 8313 it is on the gearbox the motor is attached to. I do not have to remove my motor to manually open or close. it is a pin about 1/2" dia and maybe 1" long with a pin thru it to engage the crank. Yours may be different. Hope this helps.

Thanks every one for the info. I searched the net for the Dexter website, which is the manufacturer of the slide out hardware on the 2304S we have and it said that on some of the models the manual crank was on the oppsite side of the trailer in back of the steps. Next time I get out to the farm where the TT is store i will check that out.
This is a pretty neat website. I have learned a lot about RV's since I joined a week ago.

On the 2304S it's under a cover on the belly. Need a socket and ratchet to move it.

Thanks for the reply. I will have to get under the TT and check it out. Hopefully I will never need to retract the slide manually.
