2306 owners

Looking for any reviews from people who have purchased a 2306. We are looking to buy and have read and watched videos but want to hear from people who have owned one. Thank you

2306 owner here, and very pleased. Do you have specific questions? If not, try typing "2306" into the search bar at the top of the page and you'll likely get more information than you can digest in one sitting.

Thank, you! We are a family 4 and we are downsizing from a Starcraft AR One widebody to a rockwood. From what we have read and watched it's a pretty good camper. Did you upgrade your mattress? We want to put a topper on but didn't know with the Murphy bed well that works. It's little things I think I'll have questions about...lol

I have a 2016 2306 and we have not going out with it yet. Pending our 1st trip on it. So far for what I see seems to be well made. Very impressed with the construction and the cabinet quality. Just replace the door lock for some nicer. I got one with a remote and electric key pad with a regular key. The door is filled with foam, walls and roof, floor is padded with some insulation foam. Also noticed the bottom of the camper has foam as insulation.

I read about the thermostat that is not as good as the digital ones. Bought a digital one.

Perhaps sometime this week will take it for a spin by the lake to try it out.

We put a topper on the mattress. It's pretty rough without one! We used a 4" topper and the bed still closes fine. You will have to put a little pressure on the foot of the bed to get the latched to close, but we've been using it for almost a year like this.

I would also recommend the digital thermostat - MUCH better than the original. X-Chocks are also very handy. And I swapped all the locks on the storage compartment doors to match the entry door so I only have one key. Cheap and convenient mod.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

We have been pleased with our 2306. The thermostat location is our only complaint. Its on the wall that can become warm by the fridge. Making the thermostat read 3 to 6 degree warmer than the room is and it will kick your ac unit on and off way to often. It was fixed by placing 2in foam block behind the thermostat to bring away from the wall. The floor has gotten a few squeaks in it now near the aluminum frame of the dinnette storage and tough to figure out. Over all good little travel trailer and we are happy

Interesting... while changing the thermostat the wall has foam on the back. Is a very tight fit. However, will get a block of dense foam and mount it on it. Thanks for the tip.

X Chocks, got them on Amazon along with the Socket for the Cordless Drill. I can see is not fun to raise and lower the jacks.

We sold our old camper with everything in it so we are starting all over in buying stuff for our new one. Anything special we should buy for the 2306 besides maybe new locks and the digital thermometer? Does the rockwood come with magnetic latch or is it plastic on the outside doors?

We have the sister trailer to the 2306, flagstaffs 23lb. We really enjoy it. This will be our 4th season. My only complaint is that the trailer sits low and I've had trouble dumping my sewer at some sites when the drain is higher than my tanks. So I've had to throw a couple extra boards under the tires to raise the trailer. I have 13 inch tires so the new trailers might have 14 inch tires now. That has really been our only issue other than going bigger. We don't have the Murphy bed.
