2403ws Trailer frame rust concerns

looking to close a deal on our new 2015 Rockwood 2403WS that we have been looking at getting for some time now. i went up to inspect the unit which is waiting to be prepped for delivery and discovered a significant amount of rust and corrosion on the axle and slide assembly. The unit was delivered to the dealer in Febuary of this year and the corrosion appears to be from road salt. my question is should this be a concern or is this normal. i would think the frame would be powder coated. attached are some pictures. thanks

Road salt damage, slide adjustment rods are really bad, gears also! Looks like the Dealer needs to do some Detail Work! Youroo!! What State or Prov. was this unit delivered?

They should have washed that off but unfortunately in this area that's considered normal. My truck is already rusty too

Thanks for your reply youroo. it was delivered to N.C. I seen on the frame that it left the factory on 2/05/15 which i would think it was exposed to salt/slag between Indiana and North Carolina. I would think a good cleaning and painting by the dealer would be acceptable but for future prevention i wonder if some type of undercoating spray would be good.

I wouldn't even consider buying a brand new camper with that much rust already present.

My 5er had the same rust under it. I sprayed the rusted areas with rust over primer. It stops and protects the area from new rust returning. I then sprayed a rubberized under coat under complete frame much like the auto industry dose.

X2. Since it is fresh, it can be easily treated and stopped.
