2504S
We are thinking about purchasing the 2504S and wanted to get some feedback from some current owners. This will be our first tt. We have a small family only one child and a dog. We would like enough room to bring Grandma and Grandpa along. I love the layout and the weight of the trailer. I was a little bummed when I found out the dimensions of the dinette bed. It seems a little tight. Would the dinette work for my husband and I? Our daughter will get a bunk of course. We would give grandma and grandpa the murphy bed. Thoughts?

dinette bed
We have a Flagstaff 25BHS (same as Rockwood 2504S). The dinette makes a sleeper large enough for most adult couples. In my estimation, it is very near queen size.

My son is around 6 ft tall and he doesn't have any problems sleeping on dinette with his wife. I say go for it, we love the layout

I have a 2016 2504S. I am 6.1 and I fit in the dinette. But to be honest I have never slept in it.

It's an 85" dinette. That's 7'-1". Should be long enough for all but basketball players! (But I haven't slept on mine, either!) Not sure of the width.

We have a 2504s. I'm 6 foot and my wife and I slept on the dinette once. It was fine with an added egg crate laid over it for comfort. Big enough for two... Just don't like climbing over each other to get in and out.

We have a new '16 2504S. Took it to Florida from Ohio. Once down there for a couple of days our grown daughter and her husband. Flew down and stayed a couple of nights. They slept in the dinette turned into the bed and said it was plenty of room. He is over 6 feet tall. This is also our first TT. So far so good. One thing I would check s the water filter mounting. Mine was falling off the wall and I had to rework the screws. Another thing is to make sure that there is something under the legs of the Murphy bed or else the rubber pads will make dents VERY quickly in the floor. I ended up taking the round rubber "feet" off the bottom of the legs and cutting a square piece of plywood about 3X4 inches. I then screwed them to the bottom of the legs and glued carpet runner to the plywood. Jay

You might want to remove that filter from the TT. Lots of folks have reported cracked bowls and water damage. You can replace it with a union.
Now use a blue Cameco filter as in 2nd pic. However, yesterday I saw a guy who drilled a hole in his bumper and the mount for his stock filter. He put hose fittings on the stock filter and he drops a bolt into the filter mount and the bumper. So he's effectively moved the stock filter to his bumper. He pulls out the bolt and stores the filter in a compartment while traveling. Thinking of doing this myself.

Thank you!
Thanks everyone for your feedback We took the plunge! We put our deposit down on a 2016 2504S!
I have one other question. Do you know what the GVWR is? We can't find it anywhere online. Just the dry weight.

Here's the thread with the guy who moved his filter to his bumper. See Post 8193.

When you get your 2504s be sure to double check they closed the bypass valve coming out of your water heater. I didn't know this and had only Luke warm to coldwater for awhile.

Keep in mind it varies a bit depending on options you picked and material's used. This is mine GVW 6609 dry 4786 cargo 1764 you're trailer is weighed at the end of assembly.
The numbers won't add up..... They don't count the 60lbs of propane against the cargo weight.

Hello, I'm new here and this is my first post. We just purchased a 2017 Rockwood 2504S and are loving it. The GVWR is 6312#, perfect for our F150. So much packed into a small size but the dinette slide and murphy bed adds so much room. Most of the time its just me, my husband and our dog but we have plenty of room for grandkids. We started with a tent many years ago, upgraded to a popup and then a Wilderness 22U with no slide which we had for 14 years.
