Anybody using the slide out grill next to the outdoor fridge in the newer model 2509s?

Is it any good?

It isn’t really a grill. It’s a propane stove but the burner is like a BBQ burner so not round to consistently heat a pot/ pan bottom. It heats the surface but not consistently and also heats the pot handle. We have used it but you need to find the right spot on the grate and watch carefully. We wished we could’ve had a stove top instead.

That’s what I was afraid of. I was thinking maybe if I can find a griddle that would fit over it maybe I could use it that way?

Used it once then took it out and put in a 2 burner stove and sinks.

That thing is a big mistake by Rockwood, in my opinion. It already came with a grill, which works ok. Im so glad we got ours before the change. We cook outside ALOT and the 2 burner stove top comes in very handy. Doing away with the outside sink was dumb too!

I've seen where others have removed it, like Toddupton said, you might wanna look into that.
