2509S Storage Mod

My wife & I spend 2 months of the winter in South Texas with our 2509S Mini Lite and came up with some creative storage ideas. Our biggest problem is where to store all the clothing necessary for 2 months of living and we found the solution in the bunk area! Half of the bottom bunk lifts up for storing things like a bike. I removed both bunk mattresses and raised the bottom half, then removed the screws on the hinge. Don't know why the picture is sideways!!

Then we bought a roll around wardrobe that would fit the opening (pictured)

Then I built shelves for each bunk from 1 x 10 and made it tall enough for storage tubs to fit underneath. (pictured)

So the wardrobe is our hanging closet and the tubs are our "closet drawers" and all of the rest of the space is general storage!

Works for us for 2 months!

That is a good idea. On our 2504s we just use the bottom bunk to store clothes in baskets. We use the top bunk for pillow and blanket storage. We haven’t lived in it no longer than 30 days so far, I want to try a longer trip this year. Jay
