2603 flat screen tv replacement

Anyone replaced the flat screen tv on a Rockwood 2603? Thinking about putting a larger flat screen in ours but unsure how to remove the one currently installed in the camper. Do you have to remove the shower panel to get to bolts on the backside or does it come out some other way? Any help would be appreciated. Would prefer to do the job myself instead of taking it in to the dealer.

Mike

I replaced my 17" flat screen TV with a 26" Vizio.

To remove the TV, grab it on both sides, wiggle it slightly while lifting straight up.

A guy on another forum told me the same, but I had a buddy who said it was bolted in. I'm kinda leery of trying it until I'm 100% sure. Did you have the 2603 when you put the 26" lcd in?

I have a 8283SS at present. I'll try to find a picture of the mounting bracket and post it.

This is what the TV bracket looks like in my trailer. In the photo, this is the wall-side bracket.
The TV-side bracket has two angled lips that slip into the two slots.

I'm in the process of remounting our LCD with a movable bracket, and we found that our TV had a wire attached to the back of the TV that was attached to the wall as a restraint against the LCD bouncing off the bracket. I had to unscrew the holding screw, then lift the TV off the brackets. You need a stubby screw driver to reach the wire.

Send a message via ICQ to gwenlock
We replaced our TV and the mounting bracket on the original TV was just as Mike's posted photo. We got a larger screen TV, so now we have to take it down before we bring in the slide, it's no biggie though, it's lite weight. BUT........, I do have a question, can our TV be connected to the surround speakers?
