We did not get the air mattress in the sofa. My brother and his wife stayed over once and hated that mattress. I count that as a plus.

Didn't know you could get a air mattress in the sofa. Probably best not to make it to comfortable or you'd never be able to get rid of guests 😜

We love ours.

We have had some minor issues since we've owned ours.

Well, maybe not so minor. We noticed a bubble in the living room floor last fall when we were camping. I took it to our dealer and they said the flooring was not glued down properly at the factory. They replaced all of the flooring and it was covered under the second-year warranty. That saved us $1,000, so the second-year warranty definitely paid off for us. We also had our tongue jack crap out this winter and it was replaced under warranty.

We have one more trip scheduled before the second-year warranty runs out, and I will be checking every inch of the camper.

Overall, though, we couldn't be happier. The problems I mentioned could happen on any model, so I don't hold a grudge against the 2703.

This is a great floor plan and has plenty of room for entertaining or spending three weeks on the road with a two-year-old in 95 degree heat, which we have done.

2703

I've owned one for 18 months. It has been in the shop for 8 of those 18 and I have had it in storage for 5 of the 10 left due to weather etc.
Floor plan is very good, Towing is okay, not great, but we have had MAJOR issues with all parts of the unit. Thankfully we did take out the 2nd year warranty offered when we purchased it.
Be warned that they, like all the trailers in their price range, are built to the lowest specifications and we are convinced of that. Rookwoods' warranty department is tired of hearing from our dealer I am sure.
We have had it in for electrical issues with all 3 slides, motor issues with the front and rear stabilizers, major leaks around the rear windows, separation of slide frame from the body of the camper, the harness on the main slide has broken twice and been replaced and the led under the awing keeps failing (its been replaced twice). Also the framing under the kitchen sink, which was only hot glued in, fell out, has been replaced.
I have had to replace the toilet due to a issue with the Dometic 300 that they would not cover under warranty (go figure).
The only thing i can figure out is that mine was a Monday build. (everyone came in with a BAD hangover or something).
We are currently looking at getting rid of it and finding a similar floor plan in a 5th wheel made by a different company.
Maybe someone, some day, from Rockwood will read these forums. It might be an eyeopener for them.

Good Luck! We hope you don't have the issues we have had.

Ouch I hope we don't have all the problems. Our last one was the 2304 and we were pretty happy overall with it but it did have a few issues. 😞

I have trailered my 2015 2703 nearly 3000 miles in 9 months of ownership on 9 campouts and 56 nights around the state of Florida and have had only minor inconveniences. I better knock on wood.

Side conversation

I am curious on something. Since we own the same unit I was wondering if any of you have seen/had any issues towing her.
The unit is naturally tail heavy with those 2 sides in the rear and tends to sway a bit.
When I am making a long interstate run I tend to run with a full freshwater tank. It helps keep the nose down and to I try to cut back on sway from the rigs blowing by me.
Have you had any issue with excessive sway when you are towing the 2703?

I would have a little tail wagging when 18 wheelers would blow by me. Since I started airing my tires @ 75 psi I don't have any sway at all. Trailer tires are aired @ 50 psi.

I run 1/3 tank of fresh water and tell the wife to load up the bedroom. Still has a little sway. I'm thinking of getting heavier tires for the truck . My neighbor tows a 35 ft Winnebago and went to 10 ply nittos on the truck and it helped with sway on his f-150
