2703 Slide Out Lubrication

I have a 2703 model and was wondering if the gearing rails underneath the slide out need lubricating. If so what grease and is it only applied to the rail or does it need to be applied to the gear wheel. If to the gear wheel how is it accessed as its all covered up.
Thanks
Hugh

Yes they do...I do mine twice a year with a dry lube. You can get the stuff at Wal Mart. I'll spray the gears and the rail. I haven't had this trailer long enough to really look at it but, if you can't get to the gear on one side, just go a little heavy on the track just before the gears. Hit as much of the screw drive as you can get to as well.

Another Hugh, nice yeah, dry lube everything that moves, including the rubber seals on the sides and top and bottom of the slider.

You probably have the Lippert "Through Frame Slide-out System". I have the same system. I use Protect All Slide-Out Dry Lube.

Clean the rails and gear cog well then apply the dry lube to both. Watch this video starting at 8:09.

At least on one side depending on the year. Before 2015, one rear slide was a Schwintek. After that, only the wardrobe was Schwintek. In either case, lube the gear rails the same.
