3008 Windjammer sewer line storage?

We have a 3008 Windjammer on order and we're getting our list written up of potential mods, stuff to buy, etc.

Does the Windjammer line (3008 in particular) have bumper storage for the sewer hose? If so, is there room for a RhinoFlex 15' kit or will we have to figure out something custom to store our hose?

It does not..........we use a big plasticTupper-ware type container from Wal-Mart. Carry it in the bed of our truck. Some people buy the PVC tubes at Camping world or RV store. That will mount under or to the back/front area of your camper. They are designed for carrying it and have everything with it to mount on the camper. Or if your handy like alot of people on this forum you can make your own from PVC. You'll find examples in the Modifacation and Update section of the forum.

I think it was somewhere on this site that someone cut a piece of plastic rain gutter and placed it inside the tube. The rain gutter can be pulled out which makes reaching everything easier.

Storage Solution

This is the post those before were referring to as a storage solution for your Rhinoflex. I just made one for my rockwood 26088ss that I am waiting on and it only cost $35.00 for everything

Thanks everyone for the quick info and tips! Looks like I've got a trip to the hardware store in my future to buy PVC and rain gutter parts

3008 windjammer sewer hose storage

I made my own Rhino 15' sewer hose storage to prevent the hose from getting rusty in the bumper.

1 10' thin wall 4" PVC sewer pipe from LOWE'S About $8.00

2 Threaded PVC plugs

2 Adapters to glue on the thin wall pipe for the plugs

2 Small black plastic boat cleats (to screw to the plugs, to help remove
the plugs with out a wrench)

1 can of PVC glue

4 Stainless hose clamps, Available from Lowe's

Use hacksaw to remove part of the lugs from the Rhino hose so it
will fit into 4" PVC pipe, use Dremel or rough file, sand paper to dress
hacksaw cuts. Drill 3/16" holes mid-way of stainless clamps.
Underneath your Windjammer you will see aluminium strips that hold
the under-belly enclosure. Use four evenly spaced screws to attach
the SS clamps into the strips. I installed two storage pipes for two 15'
Rhino flex hose. I have two outlets under my 8285WS.
I used a clear storage container with lid from WALLY-WORLD to store
rubber gloves, extra fittings, 5" Rhino sewer hose.

More sewer hose storage pictures>

Be careful, do not take too much of the "LOCKING" lugs off, just enough so hose will go into the storage pipe. Also, drill drain holes in the bottom of the PVC pipe for drainage about 1/4" dia.

Update:
Dealer replied via email that there actually is 4" bumper storage on the 2012 Windjammer 3008W we have on order. May still go with the PVC tube mod, but good to know we will have this for storage as well.

Yes they (W/J) have rear bumpper hose storage. Line the steel tube with vinyl on (3) sides. This eliminates hose damage from the 8' butt weld in the bummper. Will still need a container for the various adaptors. Youroo!!
