Question 8285IKWS window out of square

FR states in an email to the dealer we purchased the unit from: "the slide out end wall bottom is intentionally wider (3/4") to help the ceiling of the slide room line up correctly.
The window should be parallel with the slide wall and not parallel to the T moulding. This is how every slide out end wall is made on each slide room". (end quote)

Anyone out there have an 8285IKWS with the same situation? The reply from FR does not explain why the window appears as shown in my photo.

Hmmmm. I don't speak engineering... so it doesn't make total sense to me either. I "looks" wrong to me also. Is anything on there plumb or level?

We own an 8528 IKWS, which, coincidentally, is sitting in the back yard with the sliders out. I'll go out in a bit and see if ours looks like that.

uhhh nope, our window in that slide is mounted square. The pic is sideways, but actually shows that it's square mounted better this way. (pardon the shadows, it's parked under a huge tree)

I'm sorry to report that sometimes things RV are assembled out-of-square!

Something looks off either it's an adjustment on the slide which I doubt. Just measure from the flange of the side at the top of the window edge and then at the bottom. If it comes out different it is not square. Looks off but hard to tell, which is causing it without measurements, then ask them why. A tape measure doesn't lie. See what the dealer say's then, and ask what they are going to do to fix it. All those cut out's are done by a computer in there lam factory..Good luck

I'm guessing its a CO/Propane detector
Looks like light is coming through under the slide on the bottom left.

Might be out of square, but bottom line, so what? It may not look good, but it doesn't hurt anything and I sure wouldn't let anyone, including the factory repair it.

You're correct on the detector answer.

It's not light coming under the slide (although that slide was adjusted several times - it dragged on the floor and cut the flooring 3x). What you're seeing in this old pic is a spot of white powder scraped off the bottom of the slide!

The dealership fixed the out of square look of this fireplace cabinet by (merely) raised the cabinet top on the right side. All is well.

I had the dealership level the cabinet top... but I wouldn't ask anyone to square up a window. My fear is that it would leak forever.

We now return you to your normal programming. Sorry for the derailment.

Yeah, that window would bother me. What does the window on the opposite side of the slide look like? It appears that the top horizontal edge of the window is wider than the bottom edge. Sub-par window or maybe an install error. I remember seeing the windows installed when I took the factory tour. It takes the workers (one inside, one outside) about a minute to install a window! My 8280 large slide is in right now but I will check the windows when I power it back up.
